STORY FIELD – The R.A. Long Lumberjacks seized on nearly every opportunity presented to them on Wednesday in a 9-0 win over Mark Morris in the season’s first Civil War matchup at Story Field.
The Jacks pounded out 10 hits, struck out 14 batters, and capitalized on eight Mark Morris errors on the way to the shutout victory that flirted with mercy rule territory.
“If you have eight errors you're never going to win a baseball game,” MM skipper Brock Myklebust said. “That isn't acceptable at any level and I hope to see a cleaner game Friday.”
