BAKAMUS GYMNASIUM — Hunting seasons are nearly all closed now but that didn’t stop Mark Morris from doing a little dirty work in the Kings’ forest, Friday, in a 73-61 win over Ridgefield at Natt Court.
The victory served as revenge for a loss earlier this season on the Spudders’ home court, and also kept the Monarchs in the hunt for a third consecutive 2A Greater St. Helens League title.
But unlike most hunts, where the prowler has a distinct advantage over its prey simply by being aware there is a game of life and death underway, Mark Morris was unable to gain the upper hand until late in the contest. In fact, the Monarchs trailed by as many as 11 points in the third quarter before they went full Rambo mode, turning the hunters into the hunted.
