7TH AVE PARK — The Mark Morris softball team continued its take-no-prisoners march through the regular season with a 15-0 win over Woodland in just five innings on Wednesday in a 2A Greater St. Helens tilt in Longview.
The Monarchs hammered out 14 hits in the contest, including three home runs. The hosts took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and never let up until the mercy rule victory was in the bag.
“This was again a great team win,” MM skipper Chris Mejia said. “Three different girls hit home runs today and our defense was on point when they tried to play small ball.”
