Touchdowns are cool and all, but have you ever tried kicking a game-winning field goal in front of a hostile crowd? Well, last week Woodland’s Josiah Graham decided to make a name for himself by doing both, in the same game.
Graham, a five-foot eight-inch junior who tips the scales at 145 pounds and typically hangs his hat on his defensive credentials, was a Swiss Army knife on the field for the Beavers last week in a 34-31 league win at Hockinson. Not only did he send the game-winning field goal through the uprights from 32 yards out and about a minute left on the clock, he also drilled another field goal earlier in the contest and went 4 for 4 on extra point kicks following Woodland touchdowns, one of which was his own.
“He had the game of his life,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said.
