Toutle Lake tips the scales at Onalaska
The Fighting Ducks walked out of Gritville, USA, with their heads held high after picking up a key Central 2B League girls basketball victory, Saturday. Toutle Lake deployed a rugged defense throughout the contest and topped the Loggers 44-33 as both teams continue to jockey for position in the league standings.
Kendal Dean had a particularly busy day for the Ducks. After spending her morning and early afternoon playing volleyball in Salem, she trekked all the way back north beyond the Ol’ Mill Pond and proceeded to score a game-high 17 points to go with five rebounds and three assists.
“Kendal had a really good day yesterday,” Toutle Lake coach Daren Dean noted. “She had the job of guarding Jacoby most of the game.. .she was just kind of everywhere.”
