The hot-start Hilanders conceded a late score at Centralia on the way to a 2-2 tie in non-league girls soccer play, Saturday, at Tiger Stadium.
The hosts from 2A Centralia opened the scoring with a goal in the 28th minute, but Kelso answers back just over two minutes later when Karsyn Ross scored on an assist from Chace Doehne.
After taking a 1-1 tie into the intermission the Hilanders claimed the lead in the 46th minute when Mikalah Boucher scored with an assist from Macy Watkins.
Kelso coach Kyle Tatro tabbed Landrey Geiszler as the defensive standout of the game. Meanwhile, Makenna Fitzpatrick tallied eight saves in the contest, but couldn’t glove a shot from Centralia in the 77th minute that served as the ultimate equalizer.Â
Hall led the Hilanders with six shots in the match, and Karsyn Hall added five attempts on goal.
