Lassies experience mixed results against Longview

The cross-river rivalry softball series last week provided moments to celebrate for fans from both sides of the Cowlitz River. The Lassies gave their fans plenty to cheer about on Friday with an 11-0 win at home over R.A. Long just two days after falling 5-0 to Mark Morris as the “visitors” at Tam O’Shanter Park.

Kailanah Hagdahl and Brooke Hefley each posted a pair of hits and drove in three runs in Kelso’s win over R.A. Long on Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Hagdahl slugged a home run and Hefley smacked a double in the five-inning contest before the mercy rule kicked in.
