R.A. Long hosts, rattles off bronze finish at Lumberjack Classic
The R.A. Long boys wrestling team wrapped up its regular season by hosting their traditional Lumberjack Classic tournament, Saturday, within the comfortable confines of The Lumberdome. The host Jacks placed third as a team with 118 points earned between a dozen participants in red and black. Cascade Christian won the team title with 26 grapplers picking up 175 points, while Mark Morris was second with 152.5 points earned between their 14 wrestlers who made the trip across Lake Sacajawea.
Other teams from the Blast Zone in attendance included Toledo, Wahkiakum and Winlock. BZM did not receive reports for those teams.
R.A. Long saw three of its own notch third place finishes in their respective brackets, with Presley Havens, Adam Silvia, Richard Ramirez and Kyle DeDeaux all winning their final match of a long day on the mats.
