Young’s tip-in pushes LCC over Bulldogs at the horn

It’s safe to imagine that the Red Devils got at least several ears full of advice from head coach Mickey Polis at halftime, Monday, at Myklebust Gymnasium. Playing for the first time in nearly two weeks, Lower Columbia looked lethargic in front of its home fans and trailed 40-20 at the intermission.

Whatever it was at halftime — secret sauce or just a good old fashioned rump chewing — it worked. And when David Young cashed a rebound tip-in at the buzzer it gave LCC a 58-57 victory that sent a charge through a festive crowd.

Young finished the game with 11 points to go with six assists, five rebounds and two steals.
