The Lower Columbia College women’s soccer team made sophomore night count by knocking off Tacoma 3-2 and capturing its third straight NWAC West region title, Wednesday, at Northlake Field.

Alexa Valdez scored one goal and notched one assist to lead the Red Devils.

However, it was Rhyli Grim how opened the scoring with an unassisted goal for the hosts in the 12th minute.

The Titans got even just two minutes later when Angelina Covarrubias converted an assist from Melanie Rojas-Perez to prove they could beat LCC’s infamous force field defense.
